PrayPass Terms of Use

These Terms of Use explain the conditions for using the PrayPass mobile application and its optional Premium subscription. By using the app, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. Your use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement unless a different applicable license agreement is provided in App Store Connect. In case of a conflict about the app license, Apple's applicable license terms control.

1. What PrayPass does

PrayPass lets users enter prayer petitions, generate personalized prayers using AI, and configure supported Apple's Screen Time protections for selected distracting apps. Availability of features can depend on your device, iOS version, permissions, network access, and subscription status. The current version does not require a PrayPass user account.

PrayPass is a spiritual productivity aid, not an emergency service, medical or mental-health service, or substitute for professional advice or personal spiritual counsel. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. You are responsible for deciding how to use it.

2. Your petitions and permitted use

You retain responsibility for the text and information you submit. You should only submit content you are authorized to use, and you should not include information about another person if you lack permission to share it for AI processing. When you use AI features, you authorize PrayPass to transmit the content needed to Supabase and OpenAI to generate the requested output, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Do not misuse the app or attempt to interfere with its services or protective features, exploit its APIs, or use it in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

3. Premium subscription plans

PrayPass offers auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through Apple's App Store. The plans currently configured for U.S. customers are:

Annual: $39.99 per year. A seven-day free introductory trial may be available only if Apple determines you are eligible. If a trial is granted and you do not cancel in time, the subscription renews at the price shown by Apple when you subscribe.
Weekly: $4.99 per week, with no introductory trial currently configured.

Actual pricing, currencies, taxes, promotional eligibility, and available plans may vary by country, customer, or time. The Apple purchase confirmation sheet is the controlling disclosure for the transaction you authorize. A subscription renews automatically for the applicable billing period unless canceled in accordance with Apple's subscription process. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account's subscription settings. Deleting the PrayPass app does not cancel a subscription. Unless applicable law or Apple provides otherwise, canceling generally stops future renewals rather than providing an automatic refund for the current period.

Apple handles billing, payment, and eligible refunds under its rules. You may request refunds through Apple's Report a Problem service. PrayPass provides a Restore Purchases function for applicable prior App Store purchases. The current app uses RevenueCat's anonymous app user identifiers and does not support a separate PrayPass login; restoration is subject to Apple's purchase records and applicable provider behavior.

4. Screen Time permissions and safety

App blocking depends on Apple's Family Controls and Screen Time APIs and on permissions you choose to grant. iOS behavior may change, and operating-system restrictions can affect the app's protective features. If you need immediate access to an app or service, use your device's available iOS controls. Do not rely on PrayPass as a safety-critical or emergency-access system. Before discontinuing use, check any remaining device Screen Time or protected-app configuration; uninstalling the app is not a substitute for reviewing device restrictions.

5. AI-generated prayers

AI-generated prayers and suggested petition wording are for personal spiritual reflection. They are not guaranteed to be original, error-free, doctrinally consistent with every Christian tradition, or appropriate in every circumstance. You should review content before relying on it or sharing it. Availability of AI features may be affected by network or provider outages.

6. Intellectual property

PrayPass and its app design, branding, code, and other materials provided by us are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable law. Your rights to use the iOS app are governed by Apple's applicable license agreement. These Terms do not claim ownership of the original petition text you submit.

7. Availability, changes, and termination

We may update the app, modify features, address security issues, or discontinue portions of the service, subject to applicable law and obligations to paying subscribers. We may restrict misuse or unlawful activity. App Store subscriptions must still be managed through Apple even if you stop using the app. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

8. Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, PrayPass is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every app, or any particular spiritual outcome. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or protections that cannot lawfully be waived in your country or region.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how PrayPass stores local information and processes AI requests, Screen Time selections, and subscription information.

10. Changes and contact

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will update the effective date and provide notice where required by applicable law. Questions about PrayPass or these Terms can be sent to support@praypass.app.
